NO MORE WORDS
(Recap by Tammy)

At the top of the show, we are given the usual recap of last night's performances. Things really get interesting, however, when 'back at the mansion', a green-eyed monster rears its ugly head. Ryan Star, still high from his amazing performance that night, is harshly brought down to earth by Dilana, who remarks that Ryan 'would have been nothing without the House Band'. Naturally, Ryan takes offense. Later, Dilana continues her winning ways by stating that she's been getting more votes because 'she's been giving everything' on the Rock Star stage since week one. Magni notes that what she's been doing is simply giving the same performance each week. (Burned by the sweet Iceman! I love it! - Liza) Ryan tells the cameras that Dilana has not been especially humble or graceful as of late. Somehow, this is not so shocking.

In a moment that has Mark Burnett's fingerprints all over it, the rockers later are given the opportunity to take a peek at the web spaces dedicated to them and have a chance to read fan comments. When one fan suggests that a Supernova fronted by both Dilana and Ryan would be ideal, Dilana bristles, and states that she'd end up 'shooting' Ryan in the head, as she has no intention of sharing the spotlight. The crowd 'oooo's' appropriately (and not for the last time tonight).

Dilana looks decidedly uncomfortable even before the line of questioning from Dave begins tonight, as if she can somehow sense that she has indeed dug herself into a very, very deep hole. Dave is incredulous at Dilana's attitude. Dilana promptly apologizes with a (not so) heartfelt 'Ryan, I love you!', then states 'obviously this week, I'm the big bitch'.
Me: this week?
Dave gives Dilana the opportunity to get herself out of this mess by asking if she'd been joking when she'd made the comments to Ryan earlier.
Dilana: No, I wasn't joking.
Crowd: Boooooooo!
Dilana: I mean, uh...no I didn't mean it.
Me: Weak!
Dave calls Dilana out on being threatened by Ryan. Ryan gets a nice little dig in by stating that tonight was the most graceful manner in which she's spoken in quite some time. Dilana makes a nice 'EVS!' face. Dilana survives Round One.

The rockers are next shown once again laying down vocals in the studio on another new Supernova track. This week it is Toby who takes the stage. Gone are the dancing girls, which no doubt disappoints the resident 'Thunder from Down Under'. As much fun as it would be to slam the Supernova song once again this week, actually it isn't half bad, dare I say....pretty good! The lyrics aren't especially memorable, aside from the Hey, hey, hey/ Ho, ho, ho parts, but it's a fun song, and I wouldn't change the radio station if it came on. Musically, the vibe is completely different from last week, and has a bit of a punk rock influence. Toby does a good job with the song, though considering that we have nothing to compare it to, maybe the best is yet to come. The Supernovans look pleased as punch, and I suspect that the hateration of this particular ditty will not be quite as fierce.

In lieu of an encore this week, we are instead shown footage of the media clinic that the rockers had last week. Ring the bell, time for Round Two! Dilana's negative comments about Lukas are highlighted in the footage, as are those which she made about Magni and Toby (who aren't 'in it to win it', in her opinion), and I imagine that in the studio, Dilana is eyeing the exits right around this time. Once again Dave has on his best 'I AM STUNNED' face, and he asks her to explain herself. Dilana says that she feels like a mother dove to Lukas and wants to take him under her wing. Oy vey.
Lukas: I don't need a dove, or a wing. (Heh!)

Dilana admits she screwed up and asserts that she's just a human being (I don't think she realizes how she could have added some levity to the situation if she'd only add 'being human' to the end of that phrase) (HA! Don't think I wasn't thinking that too! -Liza). Lukas (looking a bit sad and weary at the entire situation), says he's not surprised at what he's seen, and (wisely) keeps his comments to minimum, adding only that he has to 'live with it...literally'. Dude really looks like he could use a hug here. Dilana looks like she wants to throw up.

Finally, the show gets on with the business of the night, and Brooke Burke announces the bottom three. Patrice Pike, Storm Large, and Toby were the initial B3ers, with Magni later joining them. First up tonight is Magni, who performs Jim Hendrix's 'Fire'. Magni shows off his guitar skills lighting the stage on fire with this one, and has a cool jam session moment with Raf (who finally gets some limelight this season). Supernova is visibly impressed and it is apparent that Magni will be going nowhere tonight.

Shocking no one, Patrice is the next member of the bottom three. Singing The Pretenders' 'Middle of the Road', Patrice sings as she usually does...nothing special or memorable about the performance (aside from a very bizarre 'meow' midway through the song). (Are you trying to say she sang very middle of the road? Actually, the best part of that performance was at the end when, behind Brooke's shoulder, you could see Magni pointing out to Patrice that she had blood on her lip and then offering up his sleeve to wipe it off. Awww. -Liza)

Proving the old adage 'the highest of highs, the lowest of lows' to be true, Toby is the last member of the bottom three. Performing Stone Temple Pilot's 'Plush', Toby does well enough. He runs over to Magni and sings a few lyrics with him, which was a nice touch. Toby's voice has a bit of a nasally tone that really makes it difficult for me to enjoy most of his performances. But the crowd seemed to like him, so eh, what do I know?

Three times in the bottom three is enough for the Supernovans, as they cut loose Patrice this week, who doesn't appear to be especially saddened. Tommy Lee seems more upset, actually. Patrice goes and says goodbye to her fellow rockers, while Dilana stands back a bit awkwardly and watches. It's gonna be a long night for that one, there.

Will Dilana crumble as a result of her very public tongue lashing? Will there be enough time for her to 'rise like a phoenix' and win back her fans? Mark Burnett, once again you have me in your clutches, as there is no way I'll be missing this show next week. I surrender!
