The Five Best Performances of
Canadian Idol 3
Destiny's List
1. "Hallelujah" by Josh Palmer: Josh was far and away the best talent of the entire season. This performance was the best of the best. The artistry and passion he displayed physically and vocally were awe-inspiring. Mr. Palmer, and this performance are among the all-time worldwide Idol greats.
2. "When I Fall In Love" by Josh Palmer: His suit and hairstyle were debonair, and his vocals and interpretation of the song were captivating. This was a dreamy performance.
3. "In The Air Tonight" by Josh Palmer: Again, Josh delivered a sincere and riveting performance with this one. He sounded fantastic and, as was his usual, made the audience forget that they were watching a competition.
4. "Lovers In A Dangerous Time" by the Top 10 (Results Show): This group song during the first week of the finals was full of fun and everything that is cheeky greatness of "Canadian Idol". The contestants looked and sounded great, and they delivered a fantastic, high-energy performance. Sassy and fun.
5. "Colors of The Wind" by Ashley Leitao: This was a beautiful performance, complete with strong vocals, natural stage presence, and emotional interpretation of the song. This performance proved that Ashley should have been the female frontrunner of the season.
Liza's List
1. "In The Air Tonight" by Josh Palmer: Josh was one of those contestants you either got or you didn't get, and I think this performance was one that a lot of people got. The visuals, the vocals, the passion and excitement - everything was spot-on.
2. "These Eyes" by Aaron Walpole: This mature and moving performance solidified Aaron's place amongst the competition's elite.
3. "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Amber Fleury: Amber was the best vocalist on CI3, bar none, and this was the perfect showcase for her voice.
4. "After The Rain" by Rex Goudie: This performance basically summed up Rex Goudie in a nutshell. His every-man charm was out in full force, and he even got his fellow competitors to aid in his stage show by holding up lighters. It was also one of his best vocal performances of the season.
5. "Let It Rain" by Ashley Leitao: After this killer performance on the Top 10 show, I was ready to proclaim Ashley the winner. She brought a fantastic combination of pipes and presence, and I thought she was the total package. And then she inexplicably got the boot just a week after. Made no sense.
