The Top 12 of
American Idol 5

The Top 12 finalists will hit the big stage this week on American Idol 5. The competition has been strong so far, with several standouts amongst the competitors. There are so many legitimate talents this year, that, if it weren't for a few pointed statements made by Simon Cowell to the media, one would think that most of the finalists this season actually have a shot at winning the title. Unfortunately, Simon's recent claims that either Chris Daughtry or Kellie Pickler will win the competition are eerily reminiscent of last season when he early on proclaimed Carrie Underwood the winner. Such blatant favoritism cheapens the competition and reminds avid fans of the show just why they aren't convinced that everything is fair play in the world of American Idol.

Since they are addicted to the show, the It's Destiny! panel is going to once again endure the discrepancies in the Idol system and continue to watch and review the season. Following is their take on the newly minted Top 12.

Who Should Not Be In The Top 12:
Destiny: Melissa, Kevin
Tammy: Melissa, Kevin
Liza: Kevin, Melissa to a lesser extent

Destiny: Gedeon McKinney (he was ROBBED I tells ya!), Patrick Hall, Will Makar, Ayla Brown (would have been nice to see her grow week to week), Stevie Scott
Tammy: Patrick Hall
Liza: Patrick Hall

Liza: My request isn't so much for a song, it's for any of them to NOT sing the following or bloody murder may occur for the butchering of these two songs: "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt and "Because of You" by Kelly Clarkson. You cannot compare, so don't even try.
