Final Four Announced On Canadian Idol

idollogolight_thumb.jpgCasey LeBlanc became the latest contestant eliminated from Canadian Idol on Wednesday night, leaving only four competitors left in the race for the title. Despite the Top Ten starting off comprised of a majority of females and teenagers, the playing field has evened out, with two guys and two girls now remaining. Only two of those contestants are teenagers.

Melissa O'Neil, Rex Goudie, Suzi Rawn, and Aaron Walpole return next Tuesday to perform the music of Elvis Presley. Before they do, however, they have quite the agenda to fulfill. On Friday at noon, the Top 10 will appear at a performance and autograph signing at Toronto’s Fairview Mall to promote the new Canadian Idol compilation CD, High Notes. Then, that afternoon, the Top Four will perform a free concert and autograph session at Toronto's Canadian National Exhibition Band Shell. After that appearance, they will fly off to Memphis, TN for the weekend to visit Graceland in preparation for next week's Elvis show. While there, they will rehearse and workshop two Presley songs each at the historic Sun Studio, also known as "the birthplace of Rock and Roll."

Come back next Wednesday for the It's Destiny! panel's take on the Top 4's performances of The King's music.
