Broadway Bound: Justin Guarini Is Back!
justinguarini.gif
Justin Guarini, who has been lying low this past year, is seizing all the opportunities that his new home of New York City has to offer. He has a new management team, is currently working on releasing a new album, and is pursuing more film and tv work. “I’m really excited, New York is definitely where I need to be at this point in my career, and the opportunity to be on Broadway is once in a lifetime.” Ah, yes, Broadway. Some people do indeed wait a lifetime for a moment like that.

Justin will originate a major singing role on Broadway this winter in the new musical, Good Vibrations. Based on the songs of The Beach Boys, the romantic comedy centers around a group of guys as they travel to their dream destination of the beaches of Southern California. Good Vibrations is directed and choreographed by John Carrafa (Urinetown) and is slated to open at the Eugene O’Neill theatre in January.

Justin will be making a tv appearance before the play opens. On November 24, he will star in an episode of the new AMC reality series, Film Fakers. The show frames three actors who think they are working on their first feature film. They don’t know that the entire cast and crew are actors themselves, playing an intricate practical joke. The “movie” they are “faking” is a musical called Song Island!. Guarini is the lead in the movie, and he aims to make the unsuspecting actors crazy as he shows them what it’s like to work with a true “superstar.”

Justin is the most mismanaged artist in American Idol history. We are excited to see something new from him and look forward to continued coverage of his projects in the months to come.
